I think we all have a few. The cars that we have every intention of buying someday, but for whatever reason (finances, space, family), the timing isn't right yet. Me? Someday, I'd really like to pick up a Mercedes C140 and a Jaguar XJR. And dreaming a bit bigger, a Bentley Continental R. I could afford to buy the Merc or the Jag now, but can't afford to maintain them...yet.

Hey, I've already got the Phaeton. I think that gets me some brownie points.

Love the Jag. Next door neighbor has two XJ8s.
For me presently, a 450SL:

Not as much of a "someday" car as a "I NEED IT RIGHT FUCKING NOW" one, as well, it's considerably inexpensive.

I will own a Firebird. Maybe not a twin turbo one, but I will own one.

That's not just any W140 you've posted there. That's a '99 S500 Grand Edition. The last, and the most luxurious, of the '90s Mercs.

I know you also enjoy the Grand Edition S500, hence why I shared it.

There are 2 cars on my list right now:
A 599 GTB with a manual and in black, blue or silver. I consider it the last of the truly beautiful Ferraris.
And a Bentley Brooklands. Elegance at its best.
Someday.

'48 Hudson Commodore (yes, I am this year -specific)
'50 Packard Custom Eight
Earlier model Lada Niva
Rolls Royce Silver Wraith (more unreachable than most on the list)
Morgan 3-wheeler - original or revived, it matters not.
Early or facelifted early version Mazda Porter Cab
With the exception of the Roller, these are all reasonably affordable.

The only remotely affordable cars in my dream garage are a p1800 and an XJS.

Caterham, and since I'm feeling not-so-greedy, it doesn't even have to be a 620R.
Really, that's how not greedy I'm feeling right now.

I see. I'm not old enough to drive, so I'm in the same first car thing.

And also an M3 sedan. Either/or.

Saabs make great first cars, as long as you work on them yourself. They're not hard to work on, it's just that most mechanics either flip out at the site of Torx screws, or try to charge you triple for having an obscure car.

Factory Five Daytona Coupe replica.
It's going to have an 8-stack of Webers, a custom dash, and possibly auto-jacks.
